A Raisin in the Sun
Theoretical Project
Fall 2022
Chicago Southside apartments in the 50s were usually quite old with renovations scattered throughout the years. This family would also likely have an assortment of furniture and items from different decades. To emphasize the mismatched nature of this home, I mixed sharp architectural features with more soft, rounded ones such as the arch.

Little Shop of Horrors
Theoretical Project
Spring 2023
My goal was to bring out the campy and fun nature of the show with these costumes by adding lively color combinations and playing around with shape. Dressed in 60s fashion, each character has their own unique style and color scheme.

Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812
Theoretical Project
Spring 2023
For this design, I was heavily inspired by Russian embroidery and the overall shapes of 19th century Russian clothing. I wanted the color scheme of each character to correspond to certain personality traits of theirs. For example, Natasha is wearing white, a color of purity, with a pop of red, which appeals to her passionate nature.
